Face to face interviewing in the virtual world

What's it all about?

As we’re all more than aware, the COVID-19 virus has temporarily knocked our sector off its feet and changed how we work currently, and in some cases for the foreseeable future.

Video interviews will be a huge part of the hiring model until we get through COVID-19 and as such, it’s imperative that you’re fully prepared as you will literally only get one shot at making a good impression.

To a lot of people, this is a new approach and although lots of us have been in this situation before, with no face-to-face element available to us at present, the landscape has changed, and we need to be prepared.

Video interviewing tech, although not new, has generally been a supportive aid to the hiring process. However in these times of crisis, it is becoming more commonly used as the only form of interviewing available before companies make hiring decisions.

It’s always wise to be prepared, as you only get one chance to make a good first impression.
